Vybif – YouTube API Data Use Disclosure

Vybif uses the YouTube Data API to provide personalized "vibe" analysis. This page explains exactly what YouTube data we access, how we use it, how long we keep it, and how you can control or revoke that access.

Data We Access

• Scope requested: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly

• Specific fields collected:

• Channel info: channel ID, name, basic metadata.

• Subscriptions: channel title, channel ID, thumbnails, description, and the timestamp when you subscribed.

• Liked videos: video ID, title, description, thumbnails, and the timestamp when you liked the video.

We DO NOT access watch history, comments, uploads, private playlists, or other private YouTube content.

How We Use the Data

• Generate personalized Vybif personality/vibe reports for your account.

• Produce mutual vibe reports when two consenting users request a comparison.

We never sell or share your raw YouTube data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

How We Store the Data

• Access and refresh tokens are encrypted and stored to allow authorized refreshes.

• Data remains in your account until you delete it from the Vybif dashboard or disconnect YouTube.

• Tokens and data are deleted immediately when you disconnect YouTube or request account deletion.

User Controls

• In-app: You can Refresh youtube Data or Delete youtube Data from the Connect Platforms page

• Revoke at Google: You may remove Vybif via https://myaccount.google.com/permissions to revoke your data access to vybif.
